In an extreme rush, VAIN managed to make it to the McQ AW10 press day in their pitifull 45 min lunch hour (maybe reflected in limited snaps due to too much smooooozing)
Anyway, we turn up at the venue, Elm Lester Painting Rooms, and what a place – a clear correlation between the urban rustic venue and the fall collection. There was a somber atmosphere with candles flickering slightly on old pully trolleys decorated with accessories. Occasionally light would break through the ceiling when the sun emerged from behind the clouds filling up the room.
The collection itself was typical McQ – intricate backwards tailoring and rough around the edges – toughened up and pulled together in the styling.
A really raw collection – VAIN have their eye on a patchwork men’s shirt and a floor length printed maxi.
VAIN loves.
